Historical Society Of Pennsylvania

The Historical Society of Pennsylvania reached out to me because they wanted a new take on their annual report and Sidelights magazine. They had plenty of great stories, archival photos, and important information to share, but the challenge was making it all feel inviting and easy to read. They needed something that respected their long history while still feeling fresh and engaging for members, donors, and new audiences.

I worked within their existing brand guidelines, using their colors, fonts, and style standards, but found ways to bring more energy and flow into the layouts. By combining historical images with clean, modern design choices, I made sure the reports didn’t feel heavy or overwhelming, even in the data-focused sections.

The finished publications gave the Society a polished, professional way to share their mission and impact. They not only honored the organization’s past but also connected with readers in a way that felt approachable and current.
